Rare Exports won the Variety Award in Locarno

“Rare Exports” won the Variety Piazza Grande Award at Locarno film festival. Rare Exports is a co-production between Sweden, Finland and Norway. The Swedish co-producer is Anna Björk from Davaj Film, Luleå and Filmpool Nord. Jalmari Helander is the director and screenwriter of the film.

Autumn Man was also screened at ’The Festival del film Locarno’ in Locarno, in Switzerland and won there the prize ‘Pardi di domani’ (Leopards of Tomorrow). The award means that the film will now be subtitled into three central European languages. The jury said: “We hope that this very good cold black comedy will, thanks to this prize, travel to hot countries.”
