The project Interreg IV A Nord Filmbågen / The Film Arc is cooperation between Filmpool Nord, Film i Västerbotten, POEM in Finland and FilmCamp AB in Norway. The Film Arc project is intended to strengthen the audiovisual sector in the creative industries in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Northern Norway and Northern Finland, i.e. the Film Arc region. The audiovisual sector includes filmmakers and companies that produce moving images in large-scale film productions, documentaries and short films, animation, computer games, advertising films, mobile content, information films and tourism films.
The project aims to strengthen small production companies through business development. The plan is to create a stronger network, so that filmmakers and film companies can be more mobile within the Film Arc region. The project will include advanced training courses, seminars and meetings. The project is due to run for three years. The overall project budget is 27 mSEK, of which 40% will be from the EU and 60% from the regions.
